Last week politician and rapper Shyne made headlines as he came back to the U.S!
On the verge of releasing his album, back in 1999 he was involved in a shooting at a NYC nightclub along with Diddy and his then girlfriend Jennifer Lopez, that injured three bystanders including a bodyguard.
According to reports witness say they saw Shyne with a gun but didn’t know who started the shooting.
Born Jamal Michael Barrow, Shyne was convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison. After his bid he got deported to his hometown of Belize.
While incarcerated Shyne went on to release his self proclaimed album “Shyne” which went on to do numbers on the billboard charts in the early 2000s ranking in at 5 on Billboards top 100 chart
As reported on Hot New Hip Hop, recently, “Shyne was granted a Visa to meet with US senators and members of Congress across the country to establish new relationships between Belize and the US. Shyne now serves as a member of the Belizean House of Representatives and the opposition party leader. The article reports Diddy helped with the process, but it didn’t give details on how. Shyne, now known as Moses Barrow, has reentered the country on diplomatic business.”
He also sat down with Diddy for a convo about class, quality redemption and my vision to develop his beautiful Nation BELIZE. Check out the interview below!
